  • Ontario: As of 2024, the rental rates in Ontario is increased up to 2.5% for the tenants.

  • Alberta: For both new and old renters, living in Alberta became a major complication due to housing crisis in the province.   • Newfoundland and Labrador: The province of Newfoundland and Labrador does not have a limit for rent increase by the landlords. However, if you are living in Newfoundland and Labrador, then you are advised to check the guidelines on when and how much a landlord can increase rent in the province provided by the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA).
